Student Expectations

The words we live by:  

Roadrunners are …. Prepared learners 

Who are … Always kind. 

And we… Try hard. 

So we …. Have success 

• Come prepared for school:  Be on time, have your materials ready and your device charged.  
• Be Kind:  Be kind to your classmates, your teachers, and all adults on campus. Treat others the way you want to be treated and follow your classroom expectations.  
• Try Hard:  Don’t give up and do your best. Take your learning seriously.  

A Few Reminders 

• Cell Phones are not permitted in class or on the yard.  If they are brought to school, they must be kept out of sight and not used during the school day. Smart Watches are allowed to be worn but NOT USED during the day.  
• Please leave playground balls at home.  We have playground equipment here at school to use. 
• Any toys brought to school are the responsibility of the student.  Leave valuable items at home.  If toys become a distraction, they will not be allowed.  
• Physical Fighting of any kind is not allowed.  
• No weapons or dangerous objects of any kind, including toy weapons, are allowed on campus for any reason.  
• Lunch is served to all students.  Students may bring lunch from home, but we ask that NO sodas, energy drinks, or family size bags of chips are brought to campus.

• Ven a la escuela preparado/a:  Llega a tiempo, ten tus materiales listos y tu dispositivo cargado.  
• Sé amable:  Sé amable con tus compañeros de clase, tus maestros y todos los adultos en el campus. Trata a los demás de la manera en que deseas ser tratado y sigue las expectativas de tu salón de clases. 
• Esfuérzate:  No te rindas y haz tu mejor esfuerzo. Toma en serio tu aprendizaje. 

Algunos recordatorios 

• Los teléfonos celulares no están permitidos en clase o en el área de juego.  Si son traídos a la escuela, deben mantenerse fuera de la vista y no usarse durante el día escolar. 
•  Por favor, deje las pelotas del patio de recreo en casa.  Tenemos equipo de patio de recreo aquí en la escuela para usar. 
• Cualquier juguete que se traiga a la escuela es responsabilidad del estudiante.  Deje artículos valiosos en casa. Si los juguetes se convierten en una distracción, no se permitirán. 
•  No se permiten peleas físicas de ningún tipo. 
• No se permiten armas u objetos peligrosos de ningún tipo, incluidas las armas de juguete, en el campus por ningún motivo. 
•  El almuerzo se sirve a todos los estudiantes.  Los estudiantes pueden traer el almuerzo de casa, pero pedimos que no se traigan SODA, bebidas energéticas, o bolsas papas fritas de tamaño familiar a escuela.
